Friday 18th -Sunday 20th May - Women's Camp 2012

Cadence: Finding the sacred over seven days is the theme this year. Registrations are now open and flyers and brochures can be found on the Women's Ministry page of our website. We have a number of new initiatives in 2012 including daily transport to & from camp, a clothing swap-shop, a woman in leadership forum and a creche on Saturday morning. Note registrations close on the 13th May and the committee assures me there will be no late registrations accepted in 2012 - so please do not leave it too late this year!


Sunday 20th May - enCounter Nite Church with Chris

Join us at enCounter Nite Church for an evening with Chris - son-in-law of our very own Ian & Maybeth. Chris and his whanau have worked with OMF in South East Asia over the last 12 years and they are planning on heading back soon. Chris will be speaking about how the biographies of Jesus reveal God being at work in weird people and unexpected places. He will also be cooking us some amazing Thai kai so join us beforehand for dinner at 5.30pm in the hall - bring a koha for the kai and for Chris if you are able.


Sunday 10th June - Class 101: Belonging

Starting at 11.15am in the upstairs lounge, this is your opportunity to find out more about the history, ministries and vision of our church. You can book at the info desk on Sunday mornings or register by emailing the . Lunch is provided and there is no cost for this class.


Sunday 17th June - Class 201: Maturity

If you've already attended a Class 101 on Belonging, then book yourself into Class 201. This great course gives you encouragement and tools to grow in your faith and topics include Prayer, Bible study, Quiet time, Fellowship and Discipleship. This class is also held upstairs and starts at 11.15am. You can book at the info desk on Sunday mornings or register by emailing the and as for Class 101, lunch is provided and there is no cost for this class.


Tuesday 19th June

- Baptist Mission Fellowship meeting

Bev Tetlow, National President of the Baptist Missionary Fellowship and her husband Kelvin will be visiting with us. The meeting will be at the church in Lounge 3 and commences with morning tea at 9.45am. We start with a (very) short business meeting and then will enjoy a presentation from Bev and a DVD showing a recent 'DO' mission team visit to Tripura, Kolkata, Bangladesh and Chiangmai (Thailand). We will conclude with lunch and as always, visitors are very welcome.
