Sunday mornings
We have a great children's programme running during term times at WCBC. Overseen by Susan Cooney, we offer a range of programmes for pre-school, primary and intermediate school aged children on Sunday mornings. We operate a creche for children under 2 years,3-Up for children aged 3-5, Adventurers for children in years 1-3, Navigators for children in years 4-6 and our Lynk programme for pre-teens in years 7-8.Creche
For babies and toddlers: Songs, toys and a safe play area are available for our smallest treasures. Creche operates all year round - this team is led by Viv and can be found in Lounge 1 on the ground floor. Children using creche need to be signed in and out each Sunday by their caregiver.3Up
For 3-5 years: 3-Up is led by Keren and a very enthusiastic team who offer storytime, craft and play geared for children at this important learning stage. This programme operates during term time in Lounge 3 from 9.45am onwards. Again children attending 3-Up will need to be signed in and out each Sunday by their caregiver.Adventurers
Years 1-3: With a curriculum designed especially for beginner readers, the Adventurers class is lead ably by Angela and her team of helpers. The Godspace curriculum we use is designed to allow children to engage with God's living word and so discover the reality of God in their lives.This programme starts at 9.45am on Sundays and runs in the Adventurer's Lounge upstairs during term time. Caregivers need to sign their children in and out of Adventurers.Navigators
Years 4-6: Navigators is an exciting programme teaching kids how to live life with God in the picture. Also from Godspace, this programme is run by Susan Cooney and her team of helpers. Operating during term time in the Navigator's Lounge upstairs from 9.45am, kids need to be signed in and out of this programme each Sunday morning.Lynk
Years 7-8: A fun time of learning Biblical truths for Intermediate school age children, led by Susan Cooney and her team.The Sunday morning programme runs during term time from 9.45am upstairs PLUS we have 'Lynk on Tuesday' from 5.30pm till 7.30pm in the church hall. The Sunday morning programme can be found in the Lynk lounge and preteens attending this group need to sign themselves in before church starts (these guys don't need to be signed out). Lynk on Tuesday includes fab food, gr8 teaching and too much fun to fit on this page. Tuesday nights cost $3 to cover meal costs.Camps
Lynk: Lucky as, these guys get the chance to attend 2 camps a year. The absolutely fabulous E-Camp held annually at Lake Karapiro each Easter (See here for the E-Camp website) and our own Spring Fever Lynk camp held at the WCBC Manaia Campsite during the Spring school holidays. Susan and her team have rego forms and info sheets for these camps - you can email her for more details.Family Camp:
Family Camp in 2012 will be an amazing time of family fun and fellowship. All the families with children in creche, 3-Up, Adventurers, Navigators and Lynk are welcome to join in. Dates and details about Family Camp will be released later in the year.
